How neglected thou art! This spring seemed to just zoom by like a comet.
As seems to have been par for the course of late, my knitting and spinning activities have taken a serious backseat to other life events. We bought our first home last August, my youngest stepson [...] I have a new camera, finally, that I don’t yet know how to use properly; my knitting has been even more flighty than usual — lots of picking up, putting down, casting on, ripping out; but nothing of any particular substance to report. In desperation, I may have gone Stephanie’s way and resorted to the [...] You know how it goes. The mojo waxes, wanes, waxes again; you’re knitting along but it’s mostly just shapeless blob, nothing to speak of that you can capture in a photograph. Or you finally finish something after months of inactivity, only to find the object whisked away by the recipient to be worn with [...] Who can keep track when in the grip of illnesses like these? Handspun Nereid mitts were begun.
Then I made of the mistake of going to the local-to-my-office yarn shop, Stitch D.C., to pick up some lace Addi needles. (A need sparked, as I said in the last post, because the [...] Not ONLY do I have a work in progress to show you, but I can try the picture thing in the process. Forgive me for the camera phone images, friends — it was this or nothing, and since I’ve done the nothing thing for months now and it doesn’t work, I thought maybe [...] ~dugga dun, dugga dun~ Footloose and fancy free! All I need now is Fozzie and a Studebaker. I managed to get the rotating header images up to 14 for now; every one of the header bars include photos (or in most cases, mega-crops of photos) that I’ve taken myself, of places I’ve been, projects [...] |
