Yikes. The sheer terror attending the blank format, the fact that I haven’t posted consistently enough to have any readers left to CARE if there’s big changes brewing in the blog, and having NO CLUE what I’m doing with WordPress…add it all up, and the YarnGeek, she’s a tremblin’.

So you know, if you’ve stuck with me this far…hang in there! I’m gonna see what can be done. Also, Santa Claws is bringing me a digital SLR for Christmas, and you know new toys mean my motivation may return.

Thus far the new things are that I’m switching (obviously) from Typepad to WordPress, and the header banner is changing. It also changes for you — if you refresh the page, you get random images. There are only five right now, but I hope to add to that over time so that ultimately it’s something like Cara’s totally mesmerizing rotating images that seem to go on forever. (Not that I’ve spent any time over there hitting refresh over and over again just to see what comes next. Or anything.)

I hope to add in a Flickr widget so you can see images a little more easily and in a more controlled fashion on my part; I want to add some comment authentication ultimately because the spam level in my inbox is somewhat appalling, and I have no idea what else yet but as soon as I know, I’ll tell you.
